About Shalman Temple No. 90

Shalman Temple No. 90, Daughters of the Nile was established on May 21, 1948, and constituted on February 1, 1949. We are 300—plus members strong, and have over 100 members who have celebrated over 25 years of service to our philanthropy – supporting the Shriners Hospitals for Children®.

Based out of Hella Shrine Temple in Rowlett, Texas, Shalman Temple represents the Dallas area and has many members throughout the North Central Texas area. We are very proud of our affiliation with the Hella Shrine Temple and their nobles.

Our members donate hundreds of volunteer hours annually as well as work hard to raise funds and collect and deliver thousands of donated items to support the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Although our philanthropy supports all of the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children, we are currently assigned to the Shriners Children Hospital – Galveston. All of the Ladies of the Household, either individually or through one of our three units, hold fund raising activities throughout the year. We also make several visits each year to the Hospitals to host parties for the children, deliver much needed donations and supplies, or work with Hella Shrine Temple to assist in driving children to the hospitals.
