Clownettes

The Shalman Temple No. 90 Clownettes visit at least one Shriners Hospital for Children® per year.  We hold various fundraisers throughout the year which enables us to continue our mission of donating gifts for the children.

During our visits with the children, we pass out coloring books, stickers and small toys.  The children love to have pictures taken with the Clownettes.  The children love seeing themselves with a Clownette and it makes a great memory for the child.  It is so rewarding to see smiles and laughter from the children and their parents.

Our Queen always attends and of course, wears her magnificent crown.  The children love all the beautiful sparkling jewels on the crown and getting their picture taken with a real Queen.

For unit members who are on the shy side, and prefer not to dress up as a Clownette, they can join as an auxiliary member. Our auxiliary members are essential to our unit. They help with our props, music, and with presenting gifts to the children.

So if you are just a big kid and love to make children laugh and smile, we encourage you to join the Clownette Unit!
